Transneft sees North-25 project fully completed in January-March
ST. PETERSBURG, Feb 27 (PRIME) -- The expansion of capacity of the North oil product pipeline to 25 million tonnes annually will be fully completed in January-March to begin operating from April, Deputy Vice President of oil pipeline monopoly Transneft Vladimir Nazarov told reporters on Tuesday.
“In fact, we expect the (pipeline’s) resource base to rise to 24.5 million tonnes until 2020. In 2019, it will amount to 20 million tonnes,” he said.
Nazarov added that the Taif and Taneco refineries based in the republic of Tatarstan are to be connected to the pipeline in 2018 to provide up to 3 million tonnes and 3.2 million tonnes of oil products, respectively, according to a trilateral agreement.
